Minnesota Vikings over Pittsburgh Steelers 36-28

The Minnesota Vikings took command with a score 29-0 before the Steelers were able to score in the third quarter.  The Vikings came out with precision and full command of the field for the first half.  The Steeler’s came back after half-time and really pushed the Vikings with a strong pursuit but came up short.

Dalvin Cook scoring two touchdowns to set the tone for the Vikings to capture the points at the beginning maintaining the Steelers off for scoring until the third quarter.  Cook was dealing with a dislocated shoulder before the game started and was still was able to rush 205 yards.  Pittsburgh didn’t gain their first points until the third quarter with a pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Najee Harris.

The game had a potential to go another direction at the very end with Pittsburgh controlling the ball for the last two minutes if they would have been able to make a touchdown plus a two-point conversion. The Vikings were able to dislodge the final play and maintain the win.
