New York – Law went into effect for September 1, 2022 for Times Square and other ‘sensitive’ locations in New York City. Signs will be posted temporarily in locations affected; government buildings, schools, subways, amusement parks, theaters and Times Square. Violation of the new law may produce criminal charges all the way up to a felony.
Debate will continue on how to enforce the ruling as others feel their constitutional rights are being crossed. A number of questions will be addressed on who is exempt, licensed security guards, retired officers and more. Gun owners will have unlimited questions amongst transporting guns in the Times Square zone and enforcement.
