Times Square held the 16th annual Good Riddance Day. A long line of people wrote out their unwanted memories to be destroyed to start off 2023 on a fresh notepad. They were allowed to read them on December 28, 2022 tear them up and throw into the trash. The participants turned and hit a punching bag and ran through an obstacle course. The course was a representation of the individual difficult obstacles in life during 2022.
Jonathan Bennett, Times Square New Year’s Eve co-host lead the event located in Times Square Plaza between 45th and 46th Streets. Netspend was the presenter of the Good Riddance Day event. The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment are the co-organizers of Times Square New Year’s Eve.
