New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade

New York City – The largest and oldest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the world has been held in New York City since 1762.  Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan stood in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and greeted the marchers, bands, bagpipes, police departments, fire departments, dignitaries.  Kevin J. Conway was the Grand Marshall, the vice chairman of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a global private equity firm, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Mayor Eric Adams

The route for the parade was along Fifth Avenue; from East 44th Street to East 79thStreet and was lined with tens of thousands of revelers dressed in green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th.  The weather was near perfect with warm temperature and lots of sunshine.  Firefighters who died in 9/11 were honored with over 300 firefighters marched in their honor.
