San Francisco, Calif: Union Square in San Francisco was filled with vibrant colors of 80,000 tulips on Saturday March 9, 2024. Thousands of people lined up long before the 1:00 pm public opening to have a chance to view the colorful tulip arrangements. The attendees were allowed to pick eight tulips each until all flowers were distributed.
The traditional event began in 2018 acknowledging the established relationship between San Francisco and Netherlands. Amsterdam, Netherlands tulip festival gave the idea for the event for the promotional tulip festival.
