Fargo, ND – The famous Budweiser Clydesdales made a weekend of appearances throughout Fargo-Moorhead area. The Clydesdales appearance was in support of Anheuser-Busch’s support of Folds of Honor. Marking the appearance of the Clydesdales was also co-ordinated with the upgrading of the local icon signage since 2001; the Budweiser sign located at I29 and 94 interchange. Doug Restemayer, president of D-S Beverages presence was at the local celebrations throughout the weekend as well as with the upgrading of the lighting of the billboard for Budweiser.
Budweiser Clydesdales draft horses have been a symbol of the Anheuser-Busch brewing company since 1933 at the end of Prohibition. 10 horses traveled in the red, white, and gold beer wagons as well as a Dalmatian rode in the parades at the top of the wagon with the hitch drivers. The Clydesdales have appeared in many Super Bowl commercials for Anheuser-Busch.
