Albuquerque, N.M. – The winds in the higher elevation were too strong for flight but that didn’t stop the Fiesta from having a fabulous opener with static balloons displaying on the field. Saturday was the first day of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with balloons from all over the world impressing the multi-thousands of people attending. Earlier the drone show was filling the skies a large display while the yellow flag was flown until the decision was made.
The evening was filled with a large fireworks display for closing the day off with a positive plan for early morning for Sunday and expected full lift-off and weather co-operating.
