North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum announced presidential run

Fargo, ND – The Sanctuary Event Center was packed with supporters anxiously waiting for Governor Doug Burgum to announce his presidential run for 2024. First Lady Kathryn Burgum joined Governor Burgum on the stage for the announcement with a cheering crowd full of excitement.  Burgum has joined the growing pool of Republican candidates.

Burgum spoke about the need to focus on the need of the economy as an “absolute top priority.”  Burgum’s work history;  building the Great Plains Software that was sold to Microsoft followed by large real estate development are only a couple of examples that backs up his ability of understanding what it takes to grow an economy, work hard and succeed. 

Energy and national security in addition to the economy Burgum said requires someone that knows how to “focus”.  Burgum said we need to stop buying energy from our enemies and concentrate on selling to our friends and allies.  The southern border was a topic of great concern with all the drug related deaths in the country.  Burgum addressed of working together to stand strong against enemies such as China, Russia, Iran, North Korea and drug cartels.

Governor Burgum grew up in a small town of Arthur, North Dakota.  He spoke about how he has maintained through his years the values, work ethics, determination to never give up and to remain focused.
