Hockey-St. Thomas University

Minnesota – St. Thomas University men’s hockey team defeated Ferris State University Bulldogs Saturday night 8-4 for a 2-game home weekend sweep at the Lee & Penny Anderson Arena in St Paul, MN.  The victory followed a Tommies 5-3 win Friday night over the Bulldogs. 

St. Thomas Senior forward Jake Braccini had 2 goals and 2 assists to lead the Tommies to the win carrying them into second place in the CCHA. The Tommies took advantage of Bulldog penalties resulting in 3 power play goals.

Currently the Tommies are riding a five-game winning streak and are just one point behind Minnesota State, their opponent next Saturday night in Mankato, MN. Ferris State faces Bowling Green State University on home ice in Big Rapids, MI.
