Times Square Rings in the New Year 2026

New York City – An estimated 1 million people filled Times Square in New York City on New Year’s Eve to ring in the New Year 2026.  The new ball named “Constellation Ball” had circular lights versus the past were triangular.  Only a few minutes after dropping of the New Year’s Eve ball the ball rose again in the colors red, white and blue in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.   Ryan Seacrest hosted “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve from Times Square.

The weather definitely had a frigid chill but that did not stop revelers celebrating with all the iconic traditions of lighted hats, balloons and clothing.  Visitors came from all over the world to witness the celebration of welcoming in the new year in Times Square.

Performances throughout the evening began with the singing of the national anthem by James McCarthy.  Following performers; B.o.B, Tones And I, LE SSERAFIM, AGNEW, Robyn, Little Big Town, Xavi, Maren Morris, Ana Barbara.

The legendary Diana Ross performed the final minutes before the dropping of the ball with songs including “I’m Coming Out” and “Upside Down.”  Tones and I brought in the New Year 2026 with singing John Lennon’s “Imagine.”
