St. Patrick’s Day Parade, NYC

St. Patrick’s Day Parade, New York – Fifth Avenue in Manhattan was filled with two million spectators from 44th Street to 79th Street; 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  The 265th parade was filled with marching bands, bagpipes, dignitaries passing by St. Patrick’s Cathedral with Ronald Hicks as The Archbishop of New York standing outside welcoming all that passed by.  Cardinal Timothy Dolan participated in the parade and was greeted by The Archbishop of New York Ronald Hicks outside the St. Patrick’s Cathedral as Cardinal Timothy Dolan continued in the parade.  Cardinal Timothy Dolan recently retired from St. Patrick’s Cathedral and February 6, 2026 Ronald Hicks was installed eleventh Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New York.

Over 150,000 people participated in the parade this year.  Mayor Zohran Mamdani, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Gov. Kathy Hochul walked in the parade.  The Grand Marshal for 2026 was Robert James McCann; board chair of the Irish Arts Center.  St. Patrick’s Day parade is one of the oldest and largest parades in the United States.  The parade began in 1762 and now is celebrating the 265th year.
