Fergus Falls, Minn. – Fergus Falls, Minnesota Mayor Anthony J. Hicks presented Chris Tungseth “Proclamation Chris Tungseth Day” for May 16, 2026 in recognition for finishing in the top 5 finalist for ‘American Idol’ on Season 24. A parade welcoming Chris Tungseth back to his hometown of Fergus Falls, Minnesota was held with a theme of red, white and blue with the downtown streets packed with fans.
A live performance was held after the parade with Chris Tungseth at Kirkbride Park where thousands let Chris know that Fergus Falls and all Minnesota was proud of his success in the finals with ‘American Idol.’ Tungseth was very grateful to everyone that supported him and the welcome home party that he had received. Throughout his performance he let the crowd know how grateful he was to everyone and The Lord.
Tungseth announced he was planning to move Nashville to pursue his career and that his single was going to be released in the next few weeks.
